With GSAT-29, ISRO launches 5th satellite of the year

Today ISRO launched the 5th satellite of this year. From the Satish Dhawan Center at Sriharikota, GSAT-29 communication satellite is launched. It is having communication transponders in the Ka and Ku bands which will expand high-speed data transfer in the Indian remote areas. The satellite is having 10 years of operational life and its weight is 3,423 Kg during lift-off. GSLV Mark III rocket will carry this satellite.
