UIDAI confirms usage of offline modes by service providers for Aadhaar verification

On Friday the UIDAI has confirmed that the service providers can now use offline modes like eAadhaar and QR code that will work as the unique ID without authentication or revealing 12-digit Aadhaar number. The statement has arrived after the SC ordered to restrict the use of Aadhaar in order to end the crimes caused due to leak of Aadhaar details. UIDAI is now planning to create awareness about the usage of these methods.
