Twitter will stop announcing the no. of users it has lost. The company has lost another 5 million monthly users in the last few months of 2018. Other social media networks are growing fast. Hence, Twitter decides hiding monthly user growth or loss will prevent them from being compared to others. Now, it plans to disclose a new metric – monetizable daily active users, this counts people who use the service daily.
