On speaking to its staff, Dassault official, Loik Segalen, said that to win the Rafale deal it was mandatory and crucial to ‘trade-off’, the Mediapart article said. But Dassault Aviation has denied it and said that they were free to choose their partner and so they independently picked Reliance Group. The whole controversy began when French prez claimed that India proposed Reliance as partner and France didn’t have choice.
