Three scientists awarded Nobel Prize in Physics

For the year 2018, 3 scientists Arthur Ashkin from America, Gérard Mourou from France and Donna Strickland from Canada. Ashkin gets the awards for groundbreaking inventions in the field of laser physics while other two awarded the prize for the optical tweezers and their application to biological systems. Meanwhile, Strickland becomes the first woman to win the physics Nobel since Maria Goeppert Mayer was honoured in 1963
