Study: Over 2,000 dangerous apps on Google Play Store

According to a latest study, almost 2,040 apps on the Google Play Store are harmful directly or indirectly. While some require suspicious permissions, others are direct malware. The research discovered several fake apps without malware but still needing permissions to access data they don’t need. You may have come across some of these apps like Hill Climb Racing or Temple Run. The fake apps have already been removed.
