Thushara succumbed to the prolonged abuse by her husband & mother in law, leading to her death. She entered her new house in Kollam with 20 sovereigns of gold & a written agreement by her parents to her husband's family to give Rs.2 lakh & a property share in 3 years. She was tortured, mentally abused, locked in a room, starved & reportedly kept under a black magic spell. Her body was nothing but a skeleton with skin & hair.
