Spain court dismisses fraud case against Messi

Spain’s National Court has dismissed a complaint against Lionel Messi filed by an ex-employee of the Argentine footballer’s foundation Federico Rettori. He had accused Messi of fraud, embezzlement and money laundering. However, dismissing the case, the judge wrote the complaint “was based on an account put together from stories in the press.” Rettori has filed a suit in Argentina as well on similar grounds.
