Kyle Abbott finished with 17-86 as his team Hampshire beat Somerset by 136 runs at Ageas Bowl. The former South African pacer continued his first-innings figure of 9-40 with a 8-46 as Somerset were all out for 144, chasing 281. Abbott’s match figures are the best by any Hampshire bowler ever and remain the fourth-best in the County Championship history with 86 scalps this season. He also scored 22 runs with the bat.
