Amol Muzumdar has been appointed batting coach of South Africa for the India Test series starting on October 2. The 44-year-old scored 11167 first-class runs at an average of 48.13 but never played for India. Muzumdar no doubt has a tough job at hand as he joins a team in transition for the 3-match series. South Africa had won the ODI and T20 series against India in 2015 but were thrashed in the 4-Test series 0-3.
