Even before the release, 'Sarkar' directed by Thalapathy Vijay, was in controversies as a political party objected some of its scenes. AIADMK asked makers to edit dialogues criticizing political parties. State ministers CV Shanmugam and Kadambur C Raju also objected scenes in the film where people are burning freebies given to them by political parties during elections. The makers have now edited the scenes objected.
