Reservation bill violated basic structure of constitution, PIL filed

To provide an economically weak section of the country with 10% reservation, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha passed the bill. But not everyone is in the favor of this reservation bill. A PIL has been filed by an NGO, Youth For Equality, in the Supreme Court, stating that the bill has violated the basic structure of the constitution. It said that reservation cannot be provided just on the basis of economic criteria.
