PM Modi Monitors the operation real time; How was Operation Balakot Planned?

For the 1st time since 1971, IAF crossed the LoC to strike back at the JeM in Balakot, approx 80 km from Pak's Kashmir. This entire operation was carried out by the National Security Adviser Ajit Doval keeping the PM in the loop. PM Modi was keen to send a strong message to the terrorists & demanded strong actions after the Pulwama attacks. Out of the several jets, a group flew to target Balakot & the mission was a success.
