Plea against IPL dismissed by Delhi High court, calls the appeal 'Publicity Interest Litigation’

The Delhi High Court dismissed a plea which challenged the auctioning process of the Indian Premier League, equating it to human trafficking and nepotism. The bench of chief justice DN Patel and justice C Hari Shankar found the appeal derogatory and imposed a litigation cost of Rs.25,000- on the petitioner for filing a frivolous plea. The bench called his plea as a publicity stunt which resulted in the fine.
