Personal records exposed after a massive data breach in Ecuador

Nearly 17 million people, including up to seven million children, which is almost the entire population of Ecuador, had their data exposed by an unsecured server run by an Ecuadorian marketing and analytics firm. The personal details such as names, addresses, national identity numbers, and phone numbers have been leaked. This has been termed as a major concern by the govt., said Interior Minister Maria Paula Romo.
