Parliament summons Twitter officials to safeguard citizens rights on social media

The members of Youth for Social Media Democracy protested against Twitter alleging that they had blocked their accounts. So, the parliamentary panel on Information technology has summoned Twitter head Anurag Thakur over the issue of safeguarding citizens rights on social media. The panel has also called representatives of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology to appear during the scheduled meeting.
