NZ Attacks: PM bans all assault rifles & semi-automatic military weapons

NZ PM's Jacinda Ardern declared that NZ will ban assault rifles & all types of military-style semi-automatic weapons used in the Christchurch attacks. Even the related parts to convert these guns to MSSA are banned. The accused Australian Brenton Tarrant had obtained firearm licence in NZ in 2017. An amnesty & a buy-back scheme will be imposed; the buy-back may cost between $100m-$200m. The new gun laws will be placed by 11 April.
