NSPCC Report: Instagram, the most used platform for child grooming

The NSPCC defines grooming as the act of building an emotional connection with the child to gain their trust for sexual exploitation purposes. As per reports, over 5000 online grooming offences were recorded in 18 months with a 200 % rise; with Instagram being the biggest platform used. Grooming offences majorly used social media in 70% of the cases, 32% Instagram, 23% Facebook & 14% Snapchat were found.
