NRI's can now apply for Aadhaar card, without waiting period

Non-resident Indians (NRIs) with valid Indian passports can now apply for the Aadhar on arrival, without the 182-day waiting period. The government issued a notification on this regard, which reads, "NRI after his arrival in India, shall be entitled to obtain Aadhaar number". By scheduling a prior appointment, NRIs with Indian passport can now apply for biometric ID on arrival. A valid birth certificate is also acceptable.
