It automatically becomes a proud moment when anything from the Indian film industry enters ‘oscars’, whether it’s a song or a film. It is the biggest award and so for 2019, a very simple Assamese film has officially made its way to Oscars. A film ‘Village Rockstars’ by Rima Das has been selected for Oscars as the FFI has said. It is a story of a girl who fights with difficulties and chases her dreams despite being poor.
