No IPL opening ceremony this year, money to be donated to Pulwama martyrs families

After a crucial meeting on Friday, BCCI announced they have decided to scrap the opening ceremony of this year's IPL with the money allocated for the event to be donated to the families of the martyrs of the Pulwama attack. The much awaited 12th edition of the IPL will commence on March 23. The defending champions Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore will lock horns on the opening night.
