Shaktikanta Das takes charge as 25th Governor of RBI

After Urjit Patel resigned as the governor of RBI, Shaktikanta Das has taken his place. Das has today taken an oath to resume his work as 25th RBI Governor. He was the former finance secretary and is currently the member of the finance commission. Whereas BJP MP Subramanian Swamy has called him corrupt on Wednesday. He said that appointing Das as governor is wrong as he was involved in corrupt activities with P Chidambaram.
