New E-Commerce rules forces Amazon to recall certain products, thereby affecting its growth

The new e-commerce rules that went in effect on Friday has caused disruptions in one of its key growth markets. Amazon had to bring down various products including Echo speakers, batteries, home cleaning goods and other basic goods from the website. New Indian rules prohibit online retailers from selling products via vendors in which they have an equity interest & making deals with sellers to exclusively sell on their platforms.
