NASA has discovered three new planets in a star system only 73 light-years away from Earth including two planets which can be 'missing links' in planetary formation. The trio, orbiting an M-dwarf star TOI-270, is among the smallest and nearest exoplanets spotted till date. The star system has a rocky super-Earth, slightly larger than our planet, and two gaseous planets smaller than Neptune but twice Earth's size.
