The CBI chief Alok Verma and his deputy Rakesh Asthana along with other officers have been sent on leave. The CBI spokesperson said that no offices have been sealed. The steps were taken after Asthana was accused of corruption and interference in high-profile cases. Nageshwar Rao was appointed CBI director with immediate effect on Tuesday. Alok has moved to SC against government's order and he will be heard on Friday.
