Mumbai court remands PMC bank ex-chairman till October 9

A Mumbai Court has remanded S. Waryam Singh, former Chairman of the Punjab & Maharashtra Cooperative Bank Ltd, to police custody till October 9. Singh, who was arrested by the Economic Offences Wing of Mumbai Police from Mahim late on Saturday, was produced before a magistrate court on Sunday. He will now be interrogated for his involvement in the Rs 4,335 crore fraud case of Housing Development & Infrastructure Ltd.
