Mayank Agarwal breaks 71-year-old record on his debut

Mayank Agarwal, who became first Indian opener to make his debut at Melbourne Cricket Ground in the ongoing third Test against Australia, manages to break the 71-year-old record of the highest score by an Indian on Test debut in Australia. He achieved this milestone with his 76 run knock. The 27-year-old surpassed Dattu Phadkar who made a 51 in Sydney in 1947. He is also 2nd Indian opener to make a debut on Australian soil.
