Scientists discover a huge hole beneath the rapidly melting Thwaites Glacier in the Antarctic. The cavity under Thwaites glacier is about 6 miles long and 1000 feet deep. The Thwaites glacier is currently responsible for 4% of global sea level rise and if this meltdown continues leading to the glacier collapse, the sea levels may rise by 2 feet. This endangers flooding of all the coastal cities including New York & Miami.
