Magsaysay award-winner Sandeep Pandey said that he was put under house arrest by the police to prevent him from leading the 'Stand with Kashmir' protests against the scrapping of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir in the Valley. Pandey said he and advocate Mohammad Shoaib were put under house arrest one and a half hour before their departure for the candle-light demonstration in Hazratganj on Friday.
