LS Phase I Polls: Bihar sees lowest turnout with 50%, West Bengal tops with 81%

West Bengal recorded 81% whereas Bihar recorded just 50% voter turnout in the 1st phase of LS elections. WB had 2 seats-Cooch Behar & Alipurduars in the 1st phase, still has 7 phases. Bihar was the lowest among 18 states & 2 Union territories. The 2 seats of J&K recorded overall 54.49%, Jammu with 72.16% & Baramulla with 35.01%. Andhra Pradesh recorded 66% with all of its seats going in the 1st phase.
