During the routine safety demo in the flights, the attendants show you how to use an oxygen mask. The passengers in Mumbai-Jaipur flight had a dreadful time when the cabin pressure dropped and they didn't get enough oxygen due to that. When the aircraft reaches high altitude cabin pressure increases to maintain the oxygen level. There is a switch for that which the crew of the Jet Airways flight 9W697 forgot to use.
