K Venugopal claims 'Rafale fighter jets deal documents were photocopied and not stolen'

On Wed, Attorney General K Venugopal said in the apex court that the Rafale fighter jets deal document got stolen. This caused a huge political ruckus to an extent that Congress president Rahul Gandhi sought a criminal investigation. However, on Fri, Venugopal has claimed that the original documents were photocopied and documents were not stolen. Officials felt that the use of word 'stolen' could have been avoided.
