Justin Trudeau, Prime minister of Canada and an advocate of multiculturalism, apologised on Wednesday for wearing brown makeup in a gala dinner party at school, where he taught 18 years ago. The theme of the party was Arabian nights, for which he put a turban and brown makeup. Times magazine published his photo one week into a federal election campaign. He regrets saying he would have known better earlier.
