ISRO plans to protect high-value space assets by building control centre

The Indian Space Agency has laid down a foundation stone by building a control centre to monitor and protect high-value space assets from space debris. Chairman of ISRO, K. Sivan, in a statement, said that SSAM has become internationally significant and would facilitate the intensified activities foreseen. The centre would also host a range of activities pertaining to the protection of Indian space assets.
