The data pertaining to phone tapping cant be disclosed as it might affect interests of the state or endanger a person or hinder an investigation process says the Home Ministry to an RTI applicant. The RTI applicant had asked for the number of sanctions issued by the ministry to central agencies permitting them to intercept phones between 2009 & 2018. However, he didn't ask for any specific details.
