India's first TaxiBot - a pilot-controlled semi-robotic towing tractor- was operated by SpiceJet on Monday at the Terminal 2 of the IGIA. The flight SG-8171, which flies on the Delhi-Goa route, was towed by the TaxiBot from the jet bridge to the runway before it departed for its destination from Terminal 2 at 12 noon. As it is towed to the take-off point it reduces the fuel consumption and noise levels.
