Indians arrested in Srilanka for violating visa norms

About 73 Indians were arrested in Srilanka for violating visa norms this year. Last month, 24 Indians working in a factory at Ingiriya and 49 Indians from a factory in Matugama were staying beyond their visa term. Hence, they all got arrested and have been sent to the immigration detention centre in Mirihana, Colombo. The officials said that they would be sent back to India only after the necessary formalities is over.
