Indian scientists develop wonder material 'black gold'

Scientists at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research in Mumbai have tinkered with the chemistry of the yellow metal, gold to transform it into ‘black gold’. They claim it can be used for applications like solar energy harvest to desalination of seawater. They used gold nanoparticles to rearrange size & gaps between them developing new material with unique properties like capacity to absorb light and carbon dioxide.
