The Indian army inflicted heavy damage after Pakistan violated ceasefire by shelling forward posts and villages along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district. A soldier was martyred which saw the Indian army retaliate, which inflicted casualties. Lance Naik Sandeep Thapa (35), a resident of Dehradun, succumbed to fatal injuries in the Pakistani firing. The spokesperson said the firing started at 6.30 AM.
