India rises to 36th position in International IP Index rankings

India was ranked 44 out of 50 countries in the International Intellectual Property Index rankings in 2018. However, in 2019 it has climbed up 8 places & now holds 36th rank. The ratings were released by the US Chamber of Commerce & said that the improvement is a great accomplishment. But still, there are challenges pertaining to the country’s patent & IP enforcement. The US tops the list followed by UK, Sweden, & Germany.
