India jumps 5 places to secure 58th rank in Global Competitiveness Index

India continues to better on global platforms. With a score of 62.0, India ranked 58th most competitive economy on the World Economic Forum's global competitiveness index for 2018 after making a jump of five ranks (largest gain among G-20 economies) from 2017. This list has been topped by the US, followed by Singapore and Germany. The index ranks 140 nation on the basis of innovation, Institutions, Infrastructure, etc.
