India defeated England by 36 runs to win the inaugural Physical Disability World Series trophy at New Road. India's 180 for 7 in 20 overs, powered by some stunning hitting at the end of the innings, proved too much for a spirited Iain Nairn's England side which chasing the modest total ended on 144 for 9. While England had beaten Afghanistan, India defeated Pakistan in the semifinals en route to the final.
