In phase 1 of voting in Chattisgarh 70% voters turnout

On Monday, phase 1 of elections in Chattisgarh in 18 constituencies was conducted and 70% voters came for voting. The EC has said that it will disclose exact numbers soon. It also said that only 1% EVMs and 1.9% VVPATs were changed. The first phase has ended now. Till 4.30 pm, 56.58% arrived for giving their votes. People are casting their votes even after getting threats from Naxals after the Nilwaya Naxal attack.
