In a major terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir since the 2001 legislative assembly car bombing, nearly 30 CRPF jawans have been martyred while 40 are injured, in Goripora area of Awantipora town. The terrorists targeted a convoy of CRPF which included over 70 vehicles and more than 2500 personnel while on its way from Jammu to Srinagar. The terrorists first triggered a high-intensity IED blast and then started firing.
