Hotstar, one of India's largest online streaming portals, has withdrawn as on-ground sponsors of the Indian Premier League. A BCCI source told India Today that there was an exit clause in the deal and the streaming platform had chosen to exercise it. It is learned that the deal was worth Rs.42 crores per year. Hotstar had joined as ground sponsors the same time in 2017 when Star India claimed a five-year IPL media rights deal.
