Former UK deputy PM appointed as Facebook head of global affairs

Amid the number of scandals related to privacy, fake news and election meddling, Former British Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg has been hired by Facebook to lead its global affairs and communications team. He will take over from Elliot Schrage and will report to the company’s chief operating officer, Sheryl Sandberg. The 51-year-old also become seniormost European politician to take such role at a Silicon Valley firm.
