Followed by Yogi's comment, NCST says Lord Hanuman was tribal

During his rally in Alwar, UP CM Yogi Adityanath claimed that Lord Hanuman was a Dalit, his comment has become a controversy. Now 2 days after his comment the chief of the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes has claimed that Lord Hanuman was not a Dalit but a tribal. The reason is that there is a Hanuman gotra among tribals 'Tigga' which means 'vanar' or monkey. "He was definitely not a Dalit," Nand Kumar Sai said.
