This is the first time that India conducted an airstrike against Pak. It is also a first-time nuclear power has attacked another nuclear power by an airstrike on its territory. The two nuclear powers have indulged in violet conflicts only twice- once in 1969 the Soviet Union against China & the India-Pak Kargil War in 1999. The Balakot strike is unparalleled as the air strikes are always considered an extreme decision.
