CBI director Alok Verma has resigned from his services after he was sacked from his post on Thursday and was transferred over corruption charges and not doing his duty properly, an official has informed. Verma in his resignation has said that it was a moment of "collective introspection." He started working as the director on January 31, 2017, and his tenure was set to end on January 31, 2019.
