Despite the 'Skill India' every third person who has received formal industry-related skill training or vocational training is unemployed. There is a gap between the vision of the skill initiatives and the real-life scenario. This is mainly because of inadequate monitoring and over ambitious estimation of these programmes. The speech by FM Sitharaman has not mentioned any concrete and credible ways to solve this stupendous problem.
